Mine is dark blue on freshly re-furbed 16" gold wheels. To be honest the wheels show up the slightly tired bodywork a tad. No doubt it will still be down the road opposite the chipper, not getting it back till Friday and so it won't be a priority.

Those seats look identical to my Trophy's seats. Though mine are not electric as I believe the P1 Recaros are?

That's surprising about the exhaust, I always assumed a full de-cat would be loud even with a standard backbox. I am impressed with the Ninja, really brings out the low down rumble but not too loud at legal motorway speeds. It came with a bung which I've never even tried. It was only £200 though I'm not sure how it stacks up in performance terms or weight vs the Prodrive one.
The Ninja sounds superb, actually its probably my favourite sounding classic exhaust.

Mine has one of these; http://www.just-subaru.com/exhausts-classic-72098-...

It's supposed to be good for improving power but with a full decat like mine it sounds a bit course and loses the impreza soundtrack on full throttle, it sounds ok between 3-5k and over 5k sounds superb with a very hard note.

Love the looks of those Recaro seats but the previous poster is right, the standard impreza turbo seats hold you in much better on corners.

Great, thanks for the feedback chaps!

I'm 6'4" and find the seat squabs very short and not very supportive hence the thoughts about replacing the seats. Hardly the end of the world though.

Great looking seat and they still look very supportive. Shame the Recaro logo and stitching is not blue to match the rest though.

Do they fit the original runners and do they tilt forward for access to the rear seats?

I had to order a pair of Recaro GC8-specific subframes (at an eye-watering £170 each!)

Yes, they slide but I don't think they'll tip forward to let passengers in and out of the back, will need to do it manually using the reclining adjuster if the seats need tipped.

That's not a problem really, the only people that ever go in the back are my 3 and 6 year old, and they're small enough to climb through a little gap!

Thanks very much. They're getting cheap these days. £8-9k will buy you a great example.

Some more pics (from yesterday afternoon), engine will be in this morning smile

Im possibly wrong but is the standard P1 backbox only 2.5 inch? Do you want to be reducing from 3 inch all the way through to 2.5 at the exit. I dont know how much difference it would make mind.
Bear in mind the sound will change a lot once you put the equal length headers on. I have the RCM headers and full 3inch exhaust with no cat and the 4.5 inch exit hole and on the last trackday it only registered about 92db on the static test so is quite quiet.
It was registering 96db with standard exhaust with a magnex back box when I bought it.

Hi

It's RCM unequal headers I'm using. At the moment I've got a 3" decat downpipe with a reducer to 2.5". The centre section is straight through 2.5" and oem 2.5" P1 backbox with 3.5" tip (not standard backbox - the prodrive optional p1 backbox, made by H&S I think?)

Spoken to Brian Downie and Andy Forrest about it and they both reckon 2.5" is fine up to ~430-450bhp so I should be OK.

Exciting stuff! Any idea when you'll get your P1 back? I want to read all about what a well-fettled 350bhp+ classic is like on the road. Given that my measly 240bhp impresses me no end I'll imagine the A to B pace of yours will be nothing short of eye-watering!

True! £8-9k should get a good one with a rebuild. I chose to buy one needing a rebuild and spec it all myself. More expensive but you know exactly what you're getting.

Picked the car up today and did some miles on the running-in oil. Oil change tonight, Syvecs being fitted in the morning then remapped. I'll get it back tomorrow afternoon and then running-in can begin in earnest.

The mapper (Paul from Zen) is coming back up at the end of June to remap again (with another couple of fuel maps).

Jobs for June include:

New Mishimoto radiator and oil cooler
White line ARB's
Braided hoses, brake stopper and some track-spec fluid
MOT!

Cheers smile
