I've only got one toilet.

Clearly it's unfair that some houses (often bankers' and Tories' houses) have more than one toilet. I smell a toilet tax in the offing...
You are the epitome of fair. What will happen is that the other people with more than one toilet will have them removed, and spread around to people who don't.
But what if the average number of toilets is 1.25

Do i have to give a quarter of one of my toilets to three people

And what am i going to do with a quarter of a toilet

Even more worrying is where is poor simoid going to put his extra quarter of a toilet?

Shall he keep it in the kitchen?
Toilets are more confusing in Scotland...

You have to treat other members of the EU the same as you treat your own people, however you are allowed to treat people from other regions of your country differently. Its one of the great inequalities in the UK, and one that would be solved by Scotland becomming independent.
As my daughter is at uni in Scotland, it is one reason to be cheerful about independence.

Although since the SNP won't exist for long after independence, the first general election could see the end of free university education for all.

And ask yourselves how did Scottish MP's vote on that very issue concerning top up fees in England and Wales.

And other similar topics. Ok, along with that and prescriptions we've got the things that will be made fairer by independence.

I'm guessing they did the neighbourly thing, just like the rUK will do if we go independent?

Oh, after voting for Scottish students to have free university education, they then decided to go to Westminster and vote on English and Welsh university top up fees. many votes for them. Salmond's response to this was telling.

If Scotland wants to make it hard for the rest of the UK and walk away debt free then we will make it 10 times harder for them, and tell them to join the Euro. The pound belongs to the uk. Scotland will no longer be in the UK so it cant have a say on how its run or who uses it.
I'd favour currency union with Norway, quality kit the NOK... wink

SNP MPs don't vote on Westminster legislation that does not apply in Scotland.

Back in 2004 the SNP voted against top up fees since there was a risk they might be imposed by the unionists in Holyrood.

The behaviour of the Labour MPs illustrates why the Union is no good for either side, and why they are less popular in Scotland these days...

What does that have to do with it? The point is that 'poor, powerless Scotland, with its own government, laws, health control, etc, is poor and oppressed, right? Nonsense. Scottish MP's voted to affect only English and Welsh students, after voting the other way for their own constituents.

There was a wink, but...

It's a nice solid wealth backed currency run by good neighbours and it's not as cheesy as the CHF. smile
