Well I've managed to break my fibula try to stop a kid kiling himself. Didnt really hurt, just felt I have sprained it.
Going to Las Vegas next week, big weekend, this weekend, planned drinking and seeing mates, as well as some flying to Bruntingthorpe to see the Lightnings and Nimrod do their stuff all either cancelled or plans modified.
After the events of the past week, do I care? No. Your situation can always be worse. My busted leg is just an inconvenience, and I am not going to let it ruin my holiday.
Just my thoughts of trying to put things in perspective.

Have you talked to your GP? A friend of mine was told it would be dangerous to fly after breaking his leg. Although I think this varies with severity.
The doc said check with the airline, but BA were fine. A full cast has to be on for >48hrs but I have a half cast at the mo.Extra 300 Driver said:

2) the cast you have is very loose fitting.
The reason for the above is that 1) you have a massive chance of getting pulmonary embolism which is game over time and 2) if not your leg will swell and in some cases they will only let you fly if the cast is sliced down the back of the calf and you get it re-cast in USA... Which will be in the region of $250-300 for a cast then needs cutting again for the return flight.
How do I know? I had tib and fib fracture, with ankle dislocation in November that meant no flying for 3 odd months, blood thinners was due to sitting in hospital for 2 days waiting for operation.
