I also saw a dark red A-reg Trimuph Accord earlier. I have not seen one of those for years.

90 BHP. 'Bonus' was a trim level...one up from 'Popular'?

ETA: 'Bonus' was a trim level between 'Popular Plus' and 'L'. You could have the Escort Bonus with a 1.1 or a 1.3 petrol 4 pot with a 4 speed manual box only. I think the 90 was the 1.3...

Edited by Pothole on Wednesday 22 May 21:34
It wouldn't have been 90bhp from the standard 1.3 CVH, more like 60 or 70bhp! I suspect the 90 sticker was a dealer add on, probably meant you got rubber mats for half price and a free air freshner...

The 90 refferred to the year as i believe there had already been a "bonus" special

edition so this was to separate the "specials" apart.

Bonus 90 probably refers to the model year, G reg was 1989/1990.

Bonus 90 did officially exist as Ford limited edition and yes ^ year related
90bhp was 1.6 engine (not available on Bonus 90 )
