Sounds like a nice one. I would suggest trying tom hartley and top555 when selling

Thanks

I've been bid OK money for it...top end glasses guide price for a trade-in and about 2% less than I thought I'd get so not a disaster. But I'll give those two a shot in the morning and see if I can squeeze that bit more out of it. Guess there aren't going to be many private buyers about at this price point...I know I wouldn't!

The fact that your SLS has been deemed inappropriate, even when compared to some pretty exotic metal, makes me want one even more! smile
Quite a few people I have spoken to about my want for one of these, even when they are quite into their cars, seem to think they have a 250-300k price tag. I think it's probably the doors that raise people's perception of value.

I would be very interested to hear what you get for yours as it sounds a fairly similar car to mine. Is it 2011/61? Perhaps you could drop me a PM if you don't want to put the price on here.
I collect a convertible next week and am not sure what to do with the gullwing. I have put it on A***Trader for sale but am trying to work out if it would be sensible to keep it as I am sure Mercedes won't make big engined gullwing cars for much longer. Could it ever become the classic that the old gullwings have?

I've heard that the SLS will cease production soon, not sure if it's true or when if that's the case.

This will make it a rare car and I'm sure they'll hold up well.

Don't forget the original 300SL was hardly rare in it's day, my Wife's Grandfather had 2 at the same time. smile

As I understand it from enquiring on a new one the original sls has stopped production with the GT model now being made

Unsure how many of those they will make/ sell

I shouldn't have wandered in here. There will be a three pointed star in my garage shortly with an SLS badge on the boot. Currently negotiating a deal.

This forum is expensive. smile

I currently have mine for sale on Autotrader and haven't had any private buyers call, just traders so far. They are all very keen so I presume they must have buyers lined up.
