He may be able to keep his license if pleaded the right way (need car for work, ashamed, sorry, etc etc). A lawyer would advise better than the PH crowd. I wonder if Soovy's about?

I'm sure Soovy's lovely, but he's more useful if you want specific advice on which Champagne gets interns out of their office knickers or how to avoid poor resale colours in 911s; he's not a motoring lawyer.C
There are, however, specialist motoring lawyers on here who will give specific advice on motoring matters (such as ATG / MsDemeanor etc.)
All I wanted him for was to get OP to get a lawyer, no more, no less.

Totally agree. Lawyers are far better prepared to negotiate the regulatory structure, rules and framework of addressing the court prior to and during a hearing.
They are then equipped with knowledge of the law sufficient to persuade the court of the merits of the defendents case.
When the CPS object to an application or suggestion by the defence, a lawyer can say something better than the "erm, just because" that most litigants in person would come out with.
Even if just for sentencing, get a lawyer.

Many years back I got a one week ban for 100mph on the motorway.
I found it to be better than points.
My insurance barely changed, and 7 days later I could forget about it rather that having 6 points hanging over me for a few years.
I got 31 days for 104 in a 60. Bit of hassle but not exactly life changing.I found it to be better than points.

No points was the best thing though - my insurance barely changed. In fact the bike insurance went down as I now have another years NCB.
Represent yourself, be contrite, and wear a suit.
hello boys
firstly thankyou for all your kind words and advice , I was in court yesterday with a solicitor from norwich called simon nicholls , I said nothing , he did all the work and I got a 21 day ban and fined £500 , the brief cost £480 inc vat ,
he actually advised me to steer the way of a ban , so as to keep a cleanish licence as he said if I get 6 points for 3 years on top of the 3 I already have I will only need another 3 to get a possible 6 month ban ! anyway the beak said the statutory ban for the speed I was doing is 54 days ! so they were lenient .own business etc !...now where my bicycle pump got to ??? .....

"Statutory ban"? This doesn't exist. I set out the guidelines on the previous page. The SGC guideline sentence for 101-110 mph is a 7-56 day ban OR 6 penalty points.
For the avoidance of doubt, there is no automatic or "statutory ban" at any speed.
