Oh no! I clicked on this thinking it was good news or even the lad himself replying.

Awful, just awful. Thoughts to his family and friends frown

Ah, this is really very sad. I'm just in from my bi-weekly Essex-Surrey commute. Had its moments as usual, but this has made me stop and pause. Thoughts are with this guy's family and friends. Sad news indeed.

Sorry to hear the news. RIP. The loss of any biker is a tragedy, especially when they leave family & dependants behind. Thoughts are with the family.

I started this thread as I passed the aftermath of the accident. It looked bad but then his friends came on here to say that he had survived although seriously injured.

As I have already said it is a shock and so sad that he passed away. I didn't know you mate but I can't help thinking about the fact that you were just on your way to work and how this must of impacted on your family and friends.

Your accident did actually put me off using the bike for my last week of commuting along that stretch of road as even with 30 odd years of biking behind me I never looked forward to that journey. Too many badly driven lorries and all those, dangerous in my opinion, differing speed limits.

RIP fella frown

Condolences to the family, shocking

I remember seeing a bike accident here a few years ago. Biker following a hgv in close vicinity, and the lorry braking to slot into lane 1. Seeing the bikers helmet hit the lorry's bumper was sickening. Made me think that I would never be a biker.
