Even 35 million is too low. As for no longer being short on striking options. I suppose that's if you think Sturridge can stay fit all season. I'm sure Borini is a striking option, just not a good one. As for a 8 million pound player, I'd rather not rely on him either.

If Suarez is sold I guarantee that we'll buy a proven striker.

Yea, I completely agree - though before you start writing off an 8 million pound player, that is what we paid for Coutinho.

I was just comparing our position to that of last year - if Suarez had come out at the end of the transfer window and said he wanted to leave we would have moved heaven and earth to keep him because we had no other options. Now our position is a lot stronger.

I'd just prefer after all that we have done for him if he'd just come out and say he either wants to go or not, I think he owes us as supporters at least that much. However unless the money was right £35-£40 mil (realistic??) it's time we got a little bit tougher on players wanting out.

Yea, I was surprised at how submissive Uruguay were, they didn't really attempt to get the ball that much, they just seemed to be happy to let Spain pass it around. I can only assume the plan was to hit Spain on the break.

Not so sure he owes you anything TBH, He was instrumental in getting you above Fulham & West brom last season, if anything you should be grateful
