Been today, couple of showers thats all, paths improved and there are no wading through muddy paths.
BMW trike tipped over on one of the sharp low speed track bends, saw it later in the paddock and had some cosmetic damage only.
Its a must to see the classic motorbike scramble racing, most of the riders were in there sixties, a credit to old age, very competitive and a great spectator thriller.

Supermoto bikes played to the crowds, wheelies and rolling burnouts added a bit of fun.

Great event

Yes, today was really the best day in terms of action and weather, really a great combination of both.

Nice shots, was that a remote cam? Someone seemed to be fitting something in the bottom of the bridge parapet while I was standing a little further down, I wondered if that's what it was.

Was a great event, yes. The only thing I wasn't so keen on was the £35 entry fee yesterday (or slightly less if booked earlier).

From memory, it was only £20 a couple or 3 years ago. I think they are taking the piss with the newer price and it goes some way to explain why it wasn't as busy as previous years, IMO.

Went yesterday for the first time, thanks to Pistonheads ticket discount.

A great day and weather stayed good, but I was amazed how quiet it was. I went to Goodwood several years ago and it was very busy. Yesterday we had no problems standing next to the track, get food, walk around.

Now, it does not have the qty of cars that Goodwood has, or the celebity drivers but the quality was the same and there were plenty of other events going on to make it an enjoyable day out.

I'll drip-feed these in when I get a bit more time but just uploaded these three to my Twitter feed from yesterday.

Robbie Kerr in the amazing levitating Radical SR8. He got fastest time of the weekend. Top, top effort to say it was his first time at CPoP and in a Radical.

Three British racing legends share a chuckle: Derek Bell; Robbie Kerr; Guy Smith.

Guy Smith launched off the line exactly ten years and ten minutes after his Le Mans win in this very Bentley Speed 8.

Yeah, I am surprised there wasnt more PH involvement but not sure Goodwood gets that much either.

Definitely go next year, for two days.

Maybe our patronage will increase interest on PH biggrin

Really good event, was also a bit surprised at the level of attendance, but it did mean I got quite a nice session stood right next to the start line on Saturday morning.

Not sure I agree that £35 is a rip off. Its only about half what goodwood costs and I would say it is more than half as good a day out.

DiD think the funfair was a bit gypsy for my liking, felt sorry for the dads stood patiently outside the grotty bouncy castle.

Definitely felt quieter this year despite the weather being better than iys has been the last few occasions.

Absolutely agree about the funfair - I was there for three days and every time I walked back to the Campsite I thought it looked out of place and spoilt the atmosphere a little.

I organised a PH's stand 4 year's ago ( http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... ) but since then, I've been helping to organise the Club Lancia Sport stand. As you say, it's been talked about, so why doesn't anyone take the bull by the horns and get something done about it rather than relying on other people? All it takes is a quick e-mail to www.cpop.co.uk and go to the car club area and register. Pippa will then send you the details, but basically you receive a ticket discount code where members purchase their own tickets, but they also need to let the organiser know (copy & paste on a thread on this forum?) so that they can keep Chumly informed of numbers. Nothing to it really.
