Thats lovely...what garage is this ?
http://www.autofficina.co.uk in Chessington just off the A3I think it might belong to the head mechanic Elias, but never asked. He did tell tales of hooligan-ness on 2 wheels during his younger years in Cyprus though hence the thinking

Is it due a trip on the road then?My mate used to ride his (2000YR) R1 racebike on the road, with his old 888 Ducati number plate on, I think it had insurance but nowt else leagl, the rear "light" was 2 circular reflectors, from a few paces away they did look like standard R1 tail/brake lights!

It is, I will have to soften everything right off, it's just about unridable on anything but duel carriageways. My mate used to ride his (2000YR) R1 racebike on the road, with his old 888 Ducati number plate on, I think it had insurance but nowt else leagl, the rear "light" was 2 circular reflectors, from a few paces away they did look like standard R1 tail/brake lights!
On the plus side it wheelies like a goodun.

You'll get another mate, I felt the same when i wrote off my bike a few years back...and remember how much Mr OCD missed his R1 a short while ago, at the time these things feel irreplaceable...but there not, we get a new model(be it the bike or a girlfriend...) and the old one becomes history, a fond ( or not so fond!) memory. At least your here to post the pics and tell the tale..
