If you're overnighting in Monument Valley then make sure to take some beer or hooch with you - it's an indian reservation so dry as a bone! I recall doing a very fast 30 miles to a petrol station for some weak as piss beer for the evening aperitif.

I'm currently in Moab, UT, and it's in the high 30s. It was hot when walking the trails that's for sure! Amazing place though. But arrive early, as it's crazy busy in the middle of the day (when it's hottest!?). I am having a break from the heat and will go back out later in the afternoon!

All done now smile
Currently thinking it's going to take a while to edit the video and photos!

I am planning the next trip though. I only have a couple of national parks left that i really want to visit. Number 1 by far is Glacier NP, second would be Denali NP. I should probably check the CC bill from this trip first though!

It does get addictive collecting the little national park leaflets, glacier was a bit of a disappointment but still worth doing, Denali is on our list also, got quite a long way into planning a drive up from Calgary about 10 years ago but never actually took the trip.

We did manage to finally get to great basin NP a couple of years back having driven around it in neighbouring states but not actually making it out to the middle of nowhere, as it was it took a days drive to get there from Reno and another day to get back to civilisation at cedar city UT (lol) and we still managed to get pulled for speeding when the only other car on the US50 was a local cop to one of the single stop light towns half way across.

After my trip this July, I will have 26 stamps, that's not including the many repeat stamps, 20 odd for Joshua alone !
