well I got nailed 100% losses in week 6 mission, missed the target by 1, back to the beginning, actually no bad thing as I will learn that the missions are progressivley more difficult and that crafting is a key part of the game play.

I made it up to 41 clan members before the big zero!

leaderboard had 201 last night eek must be boosting! lol
Haha, i'm on week 5 Mission at the minute, Day 1/3, i'm doing take downs, i think i need 20 or so.
At the minute i have 69 people in my clan, all nice and healthy, really loving MP at the minute.
if i learned anything from my losses it is to pick more difficult missions in early weeks - save your take down missions for later when teh consequences of failure are higher...

my ph handle is slothsquatch_666 add me and if anyone is up for a private game?

Very good game, about 2 hours in, but played for about 3 I think with replays.

Kept dying during the first clicker\runner section in the old building.

Kept losing the ability to see as was so dark, so watched a video online to see if I was doing something wrong, their screen was much brighter and realised I hadn't set the brightness correctly in game.
I had this but hadn't realised that the runners and clickers ignore the torch....doh!

I was wondering about that, I knew they ignored companions etc, but wasn't so sure about player torch.

That makes life a bit easier then smile

Anyone else's other half watch while they are playing "This" game?
MissB was watching last night...she normally picks up a book or DS or iPad when I'm gaming!

Yeah she's sat and watched me play it for a couple of hours, she's not really into the shooting aspects, but enjoys the story. I've tried to cater more for her tastes by caving in skulls with blunt objects rather than use the guns, but I don't think she's convinced. She did notice I was using an axe though and asked me where that had gone, I pointed out that the head remained stuck in some poor chap's shoulder, whilst the handle came away in my hands.

Anyone heard about this coming out for the PS4?

Really want to play it but can't justify buying a PS3 six months before the PS4 is due out.

Very unlikely, but once they get the PS4 cloud service up and running they'll be making lots of the PS3 back catalogue available for play via that, so you might be able to play it that way.

What a great game - finished it last night and was really taken by the quality of the story... it's worthy of a movie!

There is a cut scene later in the game involving animals (I hope that's not too much of a spoiler) and I don't think I've ever seen such amazing CGI in a game.

I'm struggling to find any constructive complaints... hmm.. nope, it's a 10/10 for sure.
Saw "that" cut scene earlier.....AMAZING.

I have nothing bad to say about this game at all.

10/10 from me.

Just finished it, ending certainly gives you food for thought.

I would say that whoever suggested it was only 3 hours from the water plant might be a little optimistic, I'd say it was a good six hours at least, certainly on Hard.

Wow, one of the best games I've played. No idea how far along the story I am but it feels like I'm watching an interactive movie. Love it!

The story is incredible. Reminds me of The Walking Dead. 10/10 from me too.

oing it on hard difficulty, got stuck on the first bloater (not spoiling as no one will know what I'm on about) for absolutely ages!

I do agree though, really don't want it to end, first game in ages I've dusted the PS3 down for.
Did the first bloater last night (ooh errr).

Make sure you go in with a couple of Molotovs - soften it up with those and run around avoiding the spores, then finish it off with the shotty

Spent an hour on the first clicker/runner encounter in the old towerblock last night. This game is tough in places, picking off the outliers, then trying to figure the best places to jump the rest one at a time followed by a panicked run and hide with it ending crouched in a corner with my gun and a clicker shuffling around.

Tense.

I had the grand total of 4 shotgun shells and 1 bullet when I made the first encounter; had to scavange shells off the normal infected before Bill and I just took pot-shots at the thing until it went down - managed to empty my entire backpack rofl

Awesome game; really glad I put it to the hard setting and switched all aids off; it's bloody tough but it makes it all the more enjoyable, especially when you carefully select your route and it all goes to st and you have to fight you're way out - a bugger when you die but when you manage to pull off wiping everyone out, it's very satisfying. Overall I'm glad I went out and splashed out on a new console for this; will have to go routing around Game etc for old PS3 games after this smile

LOL - I bought the PS3 on release and it came bundled with 3 games.... All three are still in the wrappers!!!! hehe

Xbox is the weapon of choice for most games, mostly because that's where my mates migrated to for online.

This may shift with the PS4/Xbox One though. Xbox live is making less sense especially as they've just ditched 'Family' which means I'll have to pay for 2 Gold memberships frown I don't want to watch TV through the Xbox thanks - that's what I have Sky for.

Anyway, I digress...

I was finding the hit registering last night was poor but that could be because i'm rubbish!

I always feel that when I get shot in FPS games opponents bullets do more damage to me than the other way round.... lol.

I like the limited numbers format too. 8 players offers let opportunites for glitches than 20+ I guess.

the MP works well for me because of the limited resources

Definetely, they are made by the same studio, the game mechanics are very similar and play very well.

I havent played them for years but they are great games.

Agree I really enjoyed the uncharted series too, I thought Heavy Rain was brilliant aswell but it wasn't everyone's cup of tea.
