Well done pad...now get the job!

Don't know why but I thought you owned your own shop by the coast or is that someone else?
5 year lease that expired, landlord put the rent up toooo much to warrant another 5 years.
That's sucks...Do you think he had other plans for the property and wants you out??

Anyway, pastures new and that...Good luck with the interview and keep us posted.

I only have 16 Briggs and Stratton horses to play with.

I do. It is.

I don't talk about it much on PH or post many pictures [cough]. I'm not obsessed or romantically involved with it or anything.

But here 'she' is in firewood management guise. And I would kill any man who tried to take her from me.

I'd love a ride on mower, the trouble is that our house is built on sloping ground. D'you ride on experts think I'd be able to get a ride on that could cope with this, or am I destined to forever mow it by hand? frown

You can't live within walking distance of the 'Ring and have a ride on mower, Ad.

I find it hugely disconcerting that your land resembles unmarked mass graves, Adenauer...!

You'd need one with enough power to get up the slope for a start -but there are plenty to choose from that would manage that.

It's hard to gauge the slope from the photos but as always you'd be surprised what gradients a carefully driven ride-on could manage. It's a confidence thing really, you feel quite top heavy when you're sat on one.

The best option might be to look into a second-hand pro mower that has been designed to do steep verges or there are more specialist domestic ones (Grillo Climbers etc) which I suspect are quite pricey, -but would do the job.

Or Ventrac. If your garden is steeper, maybe think about a nitrous kit.
