It was only 'dull' because the excitement mostly occurred in the first 80 runs of the SA innings.
True. After that the Barmy Army singalong and the Mexican wave kept us entertained. Well, those who didn't end up being packed off by St John's Ambilance for sunstroke / too much beer. Podie said:

Sorry Dull probably the wrong word, but obviously it lacked the tense adrenaline of a win off the last ball of the match or needing to chase 8 or 10 runs an over.
Trott is an absolute brick, and Root is a modern David Gower, all the shots then gets out when he looks like it is all so easy.
The hammer of justice must be on borrowed time SURELY.
Either way the SA side look short without Steyn, Morkel, Kallis etc. Plus I am not sure they really have the right tactics. When Amla fails early they look a pretty ordinary side.
India vs Lanka. - Anything could happen couldn't it. In a one off game if Jaya and Sanga are in the mood, everything must go - Jaya has over 11000 ODI runs, the man is a leg end.

All things being equal, India would win this but the weather might play a part ... In which case they could be on-off all day and dufferent things transpire then, so we may get a slightly freaky result ... Looking forward to it anyway. Whoever England play, they'll have their work cut out and the toss may be crucial.

The Sri Lankan national anthem is very jolly
Christ, it dragged on didn't it ...

SL batting well, there's not a lot to hit as India are bowling well - SHarma a touch short at times but they're bowling a decent length - allowing it to swing when pitched up ...
36-1 off 15.
Decent start wicketswise for SL - unliek the Saffas yesterday who just gave the game up in the first hour.
