God forbid she should like something different to you, how odd that would be that a person has different tastes to you, imagine that?? How odd us humans are... You'd better take the piss out of her straight away... Oh you have rolleyes

I like music in the same way I like paint on walls, it's nice (essential often) in the background but I wouldn't go out of my way at all to go and look at some! Some people just aren't that into it...
Me too. I like listening to music usually when doing something else but the idea of going to a concert or music festival holds no appeal for me.

Seen them twice in the last year. The wife now sings along with "Tiger Woods".

Taken the wife to Roger Waters, Slash, Tenacious D.

She's taken me to NKOTB, Elton John, Florence and the Machine.

She let me see Cavalera Conspiracy, Soundgarden, Machine Head, Slipknot and a few others on my own.

We've got Fleetwood Mac in a few months.

This.

Don't try and "educate" or "improve" her music tastes.

Enjoy and celebrate your differences. ;-)

One of my ex's once produced a Celine Dion CD. I could never see her in the same light again.

The current OH has been with me to Carnival several times, the Big Chill twice and to Camp Bestival. Keeper.

Absolutely. But I cant understand why you find him funny. He's awful. You should watch <insert obscure fringe comedian who uses improv comedy whilst dressed as a twig>

I find him hilarious. You're probably just sore because you haven't yet realised that Racism is better than astrology.

My wife's got awful musical taste... It seemed to stop developing about 1973, although she can just about tolerate blander 80s music.

In our younger day we went to see Level 42, Gloria Estefan and The Rolling Stones, but she doesn't really seem to enjoy concerts and these days I go alone or with my daughter.

My wife doesn't really like music at all, any of it. She doesn't actually dislike it, but leave her in a room with a huge range of CDs and it wouldn't cross her mind to play any of them.

She does like a bit of John Barry, though, if someone else puts it on.
