heh, insurance/fear/lackoftalent mean that I don't yet have the nerve to consider a Fireblade, but if they make a Repsol CBR600RR, or even a CBR600F, soon then it's going on the shopping list. Hmmm...orange wheels.
I find that my (admittedly older) fireblade is easier to ride than the cbr600f I had before it..Every year I gain a years more No Claims Bonus, and every year the policy doesn't go down
.
Cracking down on ambulance chasers and insurance fraud (especially the deliberate accident with 'whiplash' ploy) would help.
If I was in charge I'd go back to the good old days when lawyers were not allowed to advertise.

The Baron's really building up the fame now - people greeting him at the lights with a delighted handshake! How long before we see him at a red-carpet event or writing for a magazine?
As for insurance - first year: £1300 second year: £400-something, this years quote £161. (Although I won't be going with that company) so it's not all bad. I have turned 25 this year though, and jumped straight on a 600 after passing my DAS two years ago (f
k me that's gone fast...). I imagine I was a HUGE risk for the first two years, so I'm pretty happy it's come down and rewarded sensible (for the most part) riding.

I imagine I was a HUGE risk for the first two years, so I'm pretty happy it's come down and rewarded sensible (for the most part) riding.I've moved from a high risk area with no garage, where trying to insure my (current) dream bike - 2012 'blade - would have been around £1k. That's with 4 yrs NCB.
I've moved to a village in Lincolnshire with a garage. The same bike is now £300.
Yes the insurance companies try it on by jacking up the renewals, hoping they'll not question it. Everyone does that though. Compare the difference between staying with your existing phone company or switching and going through a 3rd party like Phones4U.
It's the fraudulent claims and the fact that insurance companies have to account for uninsured drivers/riders that ruin it for everyone.
My VFR800 costs £90 TPFT for 12k miles per year. The Deauville is about £80. It's not all bad (with the exception that the Deauville must be the least nickable bike in existence!).

I don't see how anyone would know it's him.
The bikes he rides, the camera, knowing he's a pretty tall guy and even his leathers, all in central london.I don't see how anyone would know it's him.
