My <2 mile commute from work to home ended up being a 50 mile ride around Swanage/Poole.

Started off at Tesco Fleetsbridge, down to Bakers Arm along the A35 (I think, Upton bypass), then though Holten Heath and to Swanage and somewhere else which I can never remember the name, same place as my last few photos a page back or two ago.

Took these on the road that the toll ferry is on.

I can't describe how much I love living in Dorset!

I've got the day off tomorrow and very tempted to do the Bridport to Weymouth route which I've heard is nice.

Fitted HRC high screen today:

Tested up to NSL and works very well. Should make them like this from new.

Thanks very much chaps for the positive comments. I am quite impressed with how it rides as well, tho the 5 speed gearbox takes a bit of getting use to!!

I am lucky to own a MK 1 Blade as well, it is the better bike, but the Gixxer just looks Maooooosive!!

SNAP! just like mine beer I find the rearsets on mine a bit high for my liking, looks very tidy too, what's the state of the alloy like? mine has tarnished where the lacquer has cracked/lifted on bits like the yoke and clip-ons, keep meaning to get them polished to an original shine.

Your bike looks very nice in your profile picture. Yes the reasets are a bit high,ok on short run outs but long distances are a tad uncomfy!
Same as yours, the alloy on the 'clip ons' has pitted and coroded. Will need to sort that in the fullness of time. This is deffinetly a keeper its in good/very good condition only thing that lets it down is a bit of damage on the left lwr fairing. Its only got 18000miles with history!!!!

Cheers, we have a good laugh there every time we go, seems we let the side down this year though, we forgot to take the scalextric and it's all everyone kept asking about.

Have another photo, here's one of us getting ready to take the bike down for noise testing hehe
