Bonnet pins/ fasners
Discussion
Tip.
1. Fit the pin with the nuts first, into the panel under the bonnet.
2. then a dob of paint on the top of each
3. and lower the bonnet onto the pins, evenly.
4. Drill from underneath the bonnet, where the paint mark is. Fine hole first 2.5 mm,
5. then close the bonnet onto the pins again and see how accurate it is.
6. Adjust accordingly.
7. Widen holes to take the catches
8. Order replacement bonnet.
Anyone have a better idea?

Both sides are drilled through to the cab..
You can easily access the underside on both sides, just a bit of neck craning!
Think I know where he means. I was on my back in the footwell, head by the battery, feet up on the Aga hoop (it's a posh, country living, type of Chimaera) about half an hour ago in a car park in Lincoln, like you do, looking for some switch or other, so yes, there is easy access.....! My bonnet is now popping open every time I drive over anything bigger than a gnat's willy. Time to attack it with a screwdriver. And from running smoothly for the last 90 miles, it suddenly developed the ability to stall immediately on start-up, no idle whatsoever, and the MIL light came on. Cannot see any obvious air leaks, so i am stumped. Think I might steer clear of Lincoln in future.
Just a thought - as it's Ladies Day at Royal Arsecot, did the MIL light come on because I was devoid of millinery?
