This thread isn't going to plan!
OP if you are cross about this it's best you show the video to the police and report him if you think he did something wrong, if not then just move on.
There was no 'plan'. If I was cross I would have had a rant with lots of swearing. I didn't. As I already said, I just put the video up in the remote hope that maybe he'd see it and realise his error, and think next time. I know it's annoying when this happens, but was this really the highlight of your average day?
Well, I'm an accountant. So... yes!

No, I think you'll find it's bigoted people like you who give 'BMW drivers' a bad name, or 'Audi drivers' or whatever label you bizarrely decide to apply to people based on your own groundless prejudices. What the guy did was wrong, but he probably had a Ford Mondeo last year and a Honda Accord the year beforehand. Your attitude is the greater wrong in this incident I'm afraid.
But BMW drivers DO have a bad reputation, like it or not. I just said what I saw - a guy in a BMW making a silly move. It could have been any other car... but it wasn't. When a BMW driver lives up to a perceived stereotype, it doesn't really help them to dispel the myth now, does it? If it makes you feel better, there were a lot of BMW drivers on the motorways tonight which didn't make any silly moves.RobM77 said:
I commute on motorways daily and see this sort of driving all the time. I can guarantee you there's absolutely no pattern in what car the person happens to be driving, it's just your own prejudices at play.
My commute covers four motorways (M23/M25/M26/M20) and I agree with you, bad driving is everywhere. I have no prejudice at all against BMW drivers - my next car will probably be a BMW and my current car has a BMW engine. I know there's no set pattern; there are plenty of muppets out there, in all sorts of cars. I am, however, prejudiced against muppets!Digger said:
To be fair the OP was cut up (slightly), but mentioning the make of car is utterly irrelevant! Ish!
I don't know the driver's name though. So it's perfectly normal to use the car make to identify someone.I would have said "the black car" but that has the potential to open up a whole new can of worms these days...
Video clips of bad driving are the equivalent of writing a note and leaving it on a window. Man up and move on. As for the BMW/Audi stereotype there's no smoke without fire and as most happen to be driven by 'very important reps' they commonly ARE in the wrong like it or not. Anyone who gets upset either way is obviously a little insecure

As mentioned, the 'BMW driver' thing is churlish and why all this filming with dash cams? Drive sensibly and defensively and theres then no need to clog up youtube with this s
t. You were undertaking, travelling too fast and could see the guy moving across lanes but then seem to have to make a point of being cut up..
t. You were undertaking, travelling too fast and could see the guy moving across lanes but then seem to have to make a point of being cut up..A guy at work was recently involved in a hit and run incident a truck drove into the side of his car and drove off he didn't get the number plate because he was more interested in making sure his little girl was OK in the back of the car thankfully she was well tied into her seat, this happened a few days after they were all taking the piss out of me for fitting a dash-cam to my car he then said he wish he had one too.
Give the OP a break he only posted a video to show some bad driving and to all the people that posted stupid remarks read the above again and ask yourself what if something like this happened to me and if you got injured would you not like to have a camera there to record the evidence to get them caught and punished.
Think what you like about dash-cams and their like they are here to stay.

You went to all that effort just in case he saw this video? Are you sure about that?! What would you expect him to do if he did see it, buy you a box of chocolates and some flowers? Anyway as a BMW driver I'll take one for the team and apologise to you on his and all other bmw drivers behalf worldwide.
It would not be right to tar all BMW drivers with the same brush, Not least becaues it `seems' like quite a few Audi drivers dont know what an indicator is for either. But It might just be they are no worse than any others in not giving signals and cutting other people up, but that their vehicles are just a bit more noticable, than your avarage tin box.
I was in a fairly busy BMW showroom with a friend some time back, and thought I might have a bit of fun. So when looking at a BMW convertible, I said quite loudly, look, look, its got one of those indicator stalk thingies next to the steering wheel. My mate joins in and says equally loudly, and do you know what, if you use the indicator stalk thingy, all these pretty lights start flashing on the instrument display and on each corner of the car, and get this, because this is the really good bit!
Other people on the road around you can actually tell which way you are going to go, isnt that fantastic?? We walked out laughing, with not a few other punters in there giving us some really puzzled looks. You just have to do these things.

I like this one:

Whether you are changing lanes, changing direction the rule is mirror signal manouvre, Follow that and it should be a safe action no matter what. Its just that some peoples very limited grey matter just doesnt let them operate a motor vehicle and do all that MSM stuff at one and the same time.

To be fair he apologised.
