Most comfortable seats in a car ?
Discussion
I am currently planning a surfbus conversion of a transit van and have been looking at changing the front seats.
Been on the VW forums and one of the best seats I have seen installed are P38 Range rover seats. They are manually adjustable which make the install easier. They also have fold down armrests which I think would be very useful for cross europe trips with the cruise on. They are also pretty cheap
There are also ford galaxy seats available which come with a swivel base already on them which save a extra cost but they don't looks as good though.
So which seats do you think are seriously comfy that you could eat the miles in ?

Early Rover 75 leather seats ( pre 2004) are as good as most, prob' get a great set for £100-150 quid.
However, by far the most comfortable seats I've ever sat in for long journeys were from my old HSV GTS-R, built from 2000, along with the GTS (same seats).Everyone who went in it said the same. They look the nuts as well, but will be very hard to find.

Link to give you an idea of the HSV ones ( forget the colour!)However, by far the most comfortable seats I've ever sat in for long journeys were from my old HSV GTS-R, built from 2000, along with the GTS (same seats, made by Coulsson?).Everyone who went in it said the same. That is interesting about the BMWs.
My old Omega seats were good but the leather in vauxhalls is always a little "shiney" for my tastes.
Seen some Chrysler Voyager setas which look like armchairs which would be great either facing back in the van watching tv or driving
Also the Cherokee seats look good as well. I presume fat americans wanted soft seats for their arses

Odd statement. BMW Comfort Seats live up to their name.
Not tried comfort seats but i've had back ache from E36 sport seats, E36 M3 vaders, E46 Alpina B3 seats and 1 series seats. All are positively uncomfortable after a few hours.The seats in my E46 330CI weren't great, but my othe rBMWs all had good seats. Comfort seats in the X5 and the Active Seats in my old M5 are great.
There are plenty of cars, the seats of which cause me trouble. Seat backs are often too narrow at teh upper-mid back level and designed for short people.

Saab 9000/95
I'd second this. Specifically Saab Aero ones;Amusingly googling for a picture fetched up a comfy seat PH discussion from 2011;
