Amazing what can be found in a bush if you look hard enough ...
Did you find it only yesterday or have you had it in your possession much longer?

Had it a while. Found it stuck in a bush at the crash site. Would look good on someone's mantelpiece!
Wack it on ebay, would fetch an absolute fortune simply because of where it came from.

Interesting thought in terms of the ownership of this, whilst it has obviously been replaced now and been in the possession of the poster since son after the accident it presumably belongs to Rowan Atkinson. If I had it I would be tempted to get in touch with him and see if he wanted it, if so I would try to trade it for a ride in the F1, if not you would have permission to do what you wanted with it.

Or picking up litter could be considered a service to the public...

I could be wrong but doesn't it belong to the insurance company?

Not sure it does. It wasn't a write-off and therefore this would have been chucked in the bin during the repair process.

I think the ebay route would be interesting even if you didn't end up selling it.

That's what I was thinking when I wrote I could be wrong. Awesome "souvenir" though.

Brilliant laugh

Ownership issues aside it definitely has collector value.

Decent/amusing thing to do would be to attempt to ask Mr Atkinson if he'd like it back.

You may be right, but as the car want written off I am not sure.

I agree about the litter picking up, but if a Corsa crashed would you bother? This has a value of some sort, hence being picked up, just sort of idly wondering who actually owns it and if Rowan would have a valid claim if he wanted. Maybe he went to the scene after timski to try to get all the bits which fell off?

Not convinced he does. Spent the day with his wife and others last Xmas time and mentioned this thread to her. She is a total petrol head (loves her S8 barge!!) but didn't really now about PH.

Wonder if Rowan does either.

But she did give me an insight into the repair job and that he'd do an interview / feature about it.

She also said, the chap who posted the photo of him driving in the rain on the M4 did very well as that would have been him driving home on the very day he picked it up after the repair job!!

A friend who's connected with RA via the media told him about it. Asked if he wanted it back. Never got a response. Also found the cooling fans, boot lid catches and umpteen sections of bodywork. If only I'd got there earlier I could have had the engine!

I have considered the eBay route but am open to offers. PM me if interested.
I would say eBay it, and it could get the attention of the Daily Mail/ other papers which would/could bump up the offers, but that could make the actual owner of it want it back...

Probably worth putting it on ebay and posting the link here. Would be very interesting to see the price it would go for!

Nice to see someone blanked out the reg number for security reasons.

I seem to recall it started with P, or am I mistaken ? P3 maybe ?? scratchchin
