Exactly what I came here to post, not a city in sight as the camera swept across the fields. Imagine how much you could charge commuters for a house there.Also, how come the americans all sound like they're trying to put on a British accent every time they say 'pub'?
Lastly, Chloe really looks bloody awful in all that black makeup.
how is the series ratings in the US, because this feels like it's made deliberatly for a UK audience. Not just because it's set here, it's the whole US president doing all he can to appease parliament angle. I found the suitcase nuke in the last series more believable.

It is classic 24 though, same as the first series set in the US where jack could seemingly get anywhere in LA in less than 20 minutes.clonmult said:

You can buy them from the 24 Fox store. I need a new bag for work to carry my lunch/snacks etc in (no fancy gadgets or guns unfortunately) as my 16 year old rucksack is finally giving up the ghost (only one zip works and it is slowly coming apart). Just search for Rothco HW messenger bag - my kids got me one for Christmas to replace my rucksack.
I've got the Olive Drab one he had in the first few seasons - I see he's got a black one now!

I'm enjoying it too - agree on the point about it feeling like this series was made for UK audiences. It's a bit like watching Spooks - I think it's got that feel.it's better than I thought it would be though, enjoying it actually.
As well as the travel time goofs, no-one seemed to think there was anything suspect about the CIA guys running around in the demonstration crowd with guns drawn.

It's a nice thought but the reality is it down to tax. The Government offers a tax credit to studios to shoot films or TV shows in the UK. The bigger the UK element (location, production staff, subject matter, etc.) the higher the tax credit the studio can claim. Back in the day I missed a couple of episodes of S1, so didn't continue with it and basically didn't watch it again. Think I saw a bit of a later series though. Anyhoo, thanks to Sky On Demand, they're all there so I'm going to do a 24-a-thon. Just coming towards the end of S1 and Dennis Hopper has put in an appearance.... dear lord, has there been a worse acting performance/accent in the history of television?
