But does he bless the rains down in Africa? And will he Hold The Line if either of the drivers tries anything untoward?

JB is without a doubt one of (if not the) most decent blokes on the grid.
Which of course counts for very little (if anything) in F1, at the top of the grid the only thing that matters is how fast you are, at the bottom of the grid it's how much money you can bring that counts. Decency won't get you a drive anywhere.
Very true, he's also out-scored his team-mate, so the discussion should really be moot should it not? If results are what you go by, then JB and Fernando would be the obvious line-up.
But, what Ron says, goes. So I imagine it'll be KM in the seat next year.

I guess they want Alonso for race wins and KM to pick up constructor points without unduly challenging the status quo. If KM improves with a bit of experience it may be he's ready to step up to the number one drive in a few years time, JB hasn't got a few more years in F1.

Neither, by the same token, has FA.

Not possible because McLaren, as a measure of their complete dumbasness & stupidity, have canned Tooned so it is no more,

The folks in their PR department are either a) crap, or ( more likely ) b) bloody frustrated with management

Indeed, for me the best solution for Mclaren would be a couple of years with JB and FA as their main drivers and cover KM's costs for a smaller team to gain some experience (much Ferrari did with Jules Bianchi). The re-assess the line up in a couple of years. Having two top drivers to win points and help develop the car over the coming years.

Maybe, it's thoughts like that though which mean I don't work in F1! laugh

You don't need two number one drivers, it only causes problems. A fast, experienced number one and a younger number two with potential is a good combination imo.

His real name is Torger Christian Wolff: If I was him I'd rather people called me Toto biggrin He's quite a handy car peddler too: He drove with Karl wendlinger in the FIA-GT championship, and did a 7.03 at the 'Ring with a Porsche 997 GT3 RSR in 2009, which still stands as the lap record for non-turbo cars. . Not bad...

Edited due to clumsy grammar :-) (twice..oh dear...)

Hey, I'm not knocking the guy (apart from that dreadful '80s soft-rock, obviously); he's clearly (a) a force for good in F1 (b) as bright as a very bright shiny thing (c) hugely tolerant as he can put up with Susie's cyborg-weird DeutchJock accent.

And he can drive a bit too.

Yeah, the mixture of scottish and austrian is pretty weird, although her grammar is very good: I speak fluent german as I've been living here for over 30 years, but with a yorkshire accent. That's pretty weird too biglaugh God knows what she'd sound like if he was swiss and she came from glasgow for example biggrin

I think Mercedes would agree, they could have put Max Chilton in the second car alongside either of their current drivers and still won both championships this season, and they wouldn't have had any of the inter-driver issues that they've had with Hamilton/Rosberg.

Dont think Merc saw it this way at the start of the season. Just look at the pay deals each started on.
