Just taken a trip up to Aberdeen, Google Maps is a wonderful thing ;-)

What would you do if lights went red before you passed middle one in this set?
Does anyone else remember the days when it was necessary to pass all 'Keep Left' signs on the left hand side of them?

Please can the talk about lines and lights be taken somewhere else.

Maybe I am being selfish, but I really DON'T CARE!

Stop moaning and post some footage then! It's not like the thread is reaching some sort of limit.

Then we can discuss that instead?

Whether it be lines, lights, pass on left, sh:tt:ng peugeots or the epic dashcam explosions edition of lpg bottles we can give it a go.

Unless it's rubbish in which case we can vent our fury at lowering the standards expected for this thread.

Well I hadn't seen it.

Blimey! All of it was shocking but the two "racing" episodes about five minutes in? Goodness.

What's absolutely shocking and dangerous to one person is a non-event for another. I wouldn't jump off a bridge with a bit of elastic tied to my feet under any circumstances, yet others happily do it for fun. I'm happy to do 160MPH on a motorway, yet in this country the same would get me charged with dangerous driving and locked up. We can't see the road from the Corsa driver's perspective - perhaps he could see that it was all clear in front of the bus. Just because something is illegal doesn't automatically make it dangerous.
Anyone turning out of their drives or side roads wouldn't (and shouldn't) expect a car coming down the road the wrong way - therefore relying on other people's caution/foresight/anticipation just so you can race along the road like a tt is about the dumbest thing you can do on a road like that.
Well, I think anyone turning out of a driveway or side road has an obligation to look both ways in the first place. It doesn't negate the danger though. What I was pointing out is that the sense of danger is not universally felt by all, whether there is actually a significant risk or not. It's unrealistic to expect all drivers to share the same understanding on what is dangerous and what is not. The newly qualified 18-year-old driver just doesn't have the breadth of experience to be able to identify potential or actual danger, and there's no way for them to gain that experience without exposing them (and us) to some of that danger. We all learn from our mistakes - I made some clangers myself in my youth, including wrapping my mother's Merc around a lamp post. The police investigated the accident thoroughly and found that I was not at fault, but looking back on it I think I would have avoided the accident had I had the experience I have now.

People please stop pea roasting ffs. All the videos on this page and the last are pea roasts apart from the UK bad drivers exposed one. If you can't be arsed reading the thread then don't post videos! (calamero, you in particular)

Not checking the road you're joining is clear (both ways) is just as dangerous as overtaking near a junction. In fact, half the danger of overtaking near a junction is people pulling out without looking both ways...

Also, very yummy mummy crossing the road in the first few seconds wink

"...A SOCIAL housing landlord in Bradford has disciplined one of its drivers for nearly hitting two children who were using a pedestrian crossing.

Video footage of the incident, which involved an Incommunities van, was revealed by a driving instructor who is supporting the Telegraph & Argus Stop The Danger Drivers campaign.

Steve White recorded it on his car's dashcam as he travelled behind the van on Idle Road, Eccleshill. The van appears to not slow down and narrowly misses two secondary school age children who were crossing the road..."
