1st proper wash by me since last Autumn. I then took it for some fuel and thought the colour looked good under the forecourt lights.
By jove, yes! What’s the colour?
Tanzanite Blue 2. It varies greatly from quite miserable when dirty to really stunning when it's clean and the weather is sunny. Hence the "I haven't seen it look as good as that in ages" forecourt snap.

Cor, the M5 and B3 are lovely things. The M5 in particular, it’s always nice to see a well used motor.

That's my lottery win car right there.

My E Class is Tanzanite. I had to be persuaded to go to look at it as it looked really dull in the poorly-lit pre-prep dealer photos. Then I saw it in the flesh in the sun and - boom - it looked fabulous.

Reasonably quick estate, fresh from detailing by JMT @ TMS Stratford on Avon. I can't recommend Josh highly enough.

Having a SWMBO who doesn't drive, we have to do one size fits all and the E53 manages this perfectly (she's called Morticia, car, not partner)

E53 ‘reasonably quick’ - I like the cut of your jib. wink

Looks stunning, well done!

Sensible chap, going for the 6.0 rather than 6.2…

That looks very nice thumbup what’s the ride like? Il be after a new estate soon had a C63 previous which was firm enough and going off reviews the E63 is on the verge of unacceptable, the 53 may be the one.

Just stunning.

If I won a decent bit of money I would far rather buy one of these rather than some flashy sports car.

I'd buy both, and inevitably do 99% of my driving in the Alpina.

We find it perfectly comfortable for long journeys and while it is noticeably firmer than a non-AMG E I would say it's more resolved and less wallowy. There's also a very clear difference between the three settings for ride, much more so than in my previous C43, which I guess is because it's air suspension and it handles our very poor local road surfaces far better than the C43 did, but to be fair the C was on P-Zero run flats and the E has Conti CS7 non run flat.

Had it 6 years this month so treated it to some TLC with Divine detailing as I think the M5 wagon may be what it takes to replace it next year, unless Mercedes do a 180 on the V8.

Having sold my C7 RS6, I believed I’d bowed out of this thread. However I’ve accidentally bought a C5 RS6 laugh
It’s in a bit of a sorry state at the moment, so certainly a project, but should e sorted over the summer.

Happens to the best of us!

It’s a shame that these aren’t ULEZ-compliant- it’s a much more appealing car than the V10.
