Observation fantastic! Thanks for the warning

Last week I was on an operation at work travelling in convoy with 2 other unmarked vehilces.
I was sitting in the rear of an unmarked strike van with 8 other officers, all of whom were armed to the teeth with MP5 carbines, Glock SLP Baton guns, Tazers, Stun grenades, Smoke grenades etc.
Travelling on a dual carriageway in lane 2 to facilitate a right turn at an approaching roundabout we were crawling along awaiting our turn.
Immediately behind us were 2 unmarked Vauxhall Vectra Police cars with a double crew each of armed officers wearing full tactical kit and with H & K MP5's slung around their chests. Were were all in line with no vehicles between us.
The traffic in lane 1 was travelling slightly faster than ours and I watched as the driver of an equal sized delivery van to the one I was in drew alongside the 2 Vectras.
I saw the driver of the delivery van survey the occupants of the Vectra cars behind us and then sirupticiously apply his seat belt to the on position.
He then drew level with the front of our van and indicated for our front seat passenger (Sgt leading the team) who also had an MP5 resting on his lap, to open the window. The door in the bulkhead was slightly open and we could all hear the words of the delivery driver to the armed officer in the front seat who was wearing a green fleece over his tactical kit.
"Careful mate, you've got old bill behind you"!!!!
Did he really think that the 4 in the Vectras would suddenly leap out waving their weaponry at him for such a henous offence?

OK.. MOVE AWAY FROM THE VEHICLE AND PUT THE KIT KAT DOWN!

Gerald missing, Gone playing with guns, canteen cutbacks, fat cops.........it`s all dropping into place now....
