What would the most likely outcome be? I'm 24 and currently have a clean lisence. Although do have previous endorsments. I was on a quiet m-way in the Volvo during the day, don't know why I was speeding. Just let it creep up I guess.

3 month ban and a small-ish fine?

That's what my friend got when he was caught at 105mph.

I'd be very worried if i got caught at over 100mph. I think the outcome is gunna depend on whether you need your vehicle for your job and things of that nature, if not you may have a ban coming your way.

Certain ban.

Sorry. Probably three months, maybe six.

Fat fine, income based.

I can't post anywhere else yet due to being new. need to wait the 2 weeks.

I do need my car for work like a lot of folks but does the Judge really give a toss about that?

If its only for commuting probably not, but if your a delivery driver/courier or something i.e driving is part of your job, sometimes you can get a larger fine but no ban

The court will be more bothered if you have a family to support.

Do you have any sick relatives who need looking after?

I got a 3 month, and a 700 pound fine for 111mph. Luckily I was away for 2 of those months!

I'll take the large fine! I'm a self employed TV Engineer, so ultimately I'd go totally bust with no means of transport to and from sites.
Surely during a financial crisis if they have the power to stop a trader going bust then they would.

That seems quite a fair punishment actually. I'd probs settle for that.

Afraid the magistrate will simply say "well you should have thought of that before you got done for 43mph over the limit."

You'll get banned, I'm afraid.

Turn up in a suit, with a tie, and say you're sorry. But don't drive there.

Quite a handy looking site that.

It's my first powerful car so still calming down I suppose. Sometimes really hard to resist when the smooth tarmac just opens up like that.

I feel really sorry for you, there but for the grace of God, i doubt there is a person on PH who has never done well over the ton on a motorway. Try and put the best case for your driving licence that you can, I for one can see no sensible reason to take your livelihood from you. frown

As I already had 3 points on my licence I got 6 points and a £750 fine for an "average" speed of 106. The barristers fee was well worth it as my only real defence was driving was my liveleyhood.
