I guess all you can do is write a formal complaint to Citroen uk, maybe pop a few messages on social media and then just vote with your feet.

It looks like you won't get the money back, but you can at least tell everyone you know what a shower they are.

Sounds like you have much more important things to worry about now, so just move on. I, personally, are very disappointed with Citroen UK's response. It seems to me like they didn't even try. Good to now know how they treat customers though. smile
Am just going to enjoy the car now and hav'nt really got the time carry out a vendetta against them as have more things to do with my life but will indeed vote with my feet and will not recommend them to anyone else.

you could issue them with a letter before action and then if no ball start a money claim on line against them. They may well settle when they get that, if not a court may agree with you and win. Little cost to do this.
My (personal friend) lawyer said inform the police as its money by deception (knowingly tampering with pump when it was not faulty).
But i really do need to move on from it and thank god that i did'nt spend the £1000!also it don't get the original suspension fault message anymore so all's good with my froggy waftmobile.

Mmm really? Inform plod. Money by deception? Maybe over a few glasses of red, but it's a commercial dispute which you can choose to pursue or not depending on your energy for a fight.
Bert
When someone unplugs a component without informing the owner thats bad,Owner plugs part back in and car behaves normally with no faults just as it did before dealer got hold of it,owner could have got them to supply pump and fit at £1013 and would have been none the wiser?
I'm not going to fight it as i don't have the will or the energy but i got my fingers burnt but it could have been worse.

Bullwinkles of Baumber are Citroen specialists and in your neck of the woods.
Have you had any experience with them?

Write to the MD of Citroen UK, be polite, dont make threats, tell him the circumstances, see what happens
I may well do that as to me £121.00 is a lot of money but there again £1013 even more so.

I'm going to start off by being cynical here and stating that I don't actually believe half of your account of this story; in particular, the advice given by 'your lawyer friend'. That was made up, wasn't it?

However, what I do object to, is a dealership that misleads you on their obligations. Let me tell you, we (ie my dealership and business fook up sometimes-and quite spectacularly too) but be put our hands up and fix things.

Here's a link to the new Consumer Rights Act that deals with just this subject, chapter 4. Naturally, if you are inclined to pish £1k out the door....can't help you with that.

The lawyer comment was tongue in cheek? Why do you think i want to blow £1000 when i fixed the problem they created?
