Derbyshire frustration

..yet another moan..that same bit of A617 was resurfaced last year along a particularly twisty and undulating bit. The resulting spirographic skid marks over the following weeks were a site to behold. The Council then stuck out a couple of temporary "slippery road" signs to supposedly put any blame on the un suspecting drivers who came to grief. The road is still very greasy,9 months later..as the driver of the blue Imprzza embedded in the wall below the Plough Inn on Wednesday morning will no doubt testify!
There a are a few good roads in Derbyshire left. The Congleton to Buxton is always good (no cameras), then for a short blast, from the previously mentioned road, when you normally turn left to turn into Buxton turn right. Go about 50 yards up the road and hook a left for a fun bit of road. Its only about 2 miles long but towards the end has a dip and bend that resembles Eau Rouge!!
Then of course there is the road that runs between the A6 and the Buxton to Chesterfield, just outside Buxton, very twisty with good visibility and good tarmac.
Both the roads mentioned are camera free and NSL. I enjoy them on a regular basis!!!
Regards
Rob
