Most of North Yorkshire's traffic cars are Audi A4 Avants.

Well serviced and well maintained maybe, but they've had a hard life!

Expect to get a bit of use out of it, but then expect it to need some work to keep it running. Odd that it's only got 66k on it.
66k is a bit low isn't it for a Bib car of any sort? Maybe a liaison vehicle of some sort?

Liaison or been in a bad smash with that mileage. As another note I've got a ex motorway car not had an issue with it for a year now.

08 Octavia- is it a red estate? There are a few which were knocking around and were unmarked dog vans. Used by a specialist unit so wouldn't have as many miles on as you would think.

Place them in an 'abuse' category somewhere between Panda and traffic car and price accordingly.

Ah, not one of ours. I'd wager it's led a relatively easy life. Octy VRs's get used for various Police roles but most are specialist and hence less likely to have been ragged by different drivers/TPAC'd etc...

Jesus. The light bar must reduce the speed by about 30mph. It's like something out of the 70s

The GMP relationship with Audi is nothing new. They have been using unmarked high performance Audis for many years. (as well as high performance VW and others).

Nope, just a point to those who trot out the line about expensive Police cars, and we don't half get them on here wink

Very true. Personally I'm happy for them to have the best tool for the job smile
