Whiplash claim
Discussion
Op this is PH where claiming for whiplash is taboo. Any personal injury solicitors should be able to help you, just take your pick. Or ring your own insurance and ask who they use.
To the rest of the haters on here, its not always MTFU. My better half ended up injured for 8 weeks after we got hit as she had twisted around to check the kids just before the impact. Holiday ruined, weeks off work etc..

Jeez, driver has an accident, comes on a motoring forum to ask for advice on how to deal with a claim - gets abused. Nice one.
I notice no-one checked if he genuinely is injured, you all just jumped on him assuming the worst.
Personal injury, that's what he wants compensating for.
OP have you got legal cover on the policy you are covered by? If so, I would suggest ringing your/your work's insurance company and asking them to get the solicitors that the legal cover uses to contact you - and take it from there.

Were you in a bus?To the rest of the haters on here, its not always MTFU. My better half ended up injured for 8 weeks after we got hit as she had twisted around to check the kids just before the impact. Holiday ruined, weeks off work etc..
Were you hit by a vehicle a fraction of the mass of yours, at very slow speed? A typical bus weighs from 15 tonnes upwards. The average car no more than a tenth of that. The effect on a bus at low speed would be negligible as far as causing whiplash injuries. Very odd that the passengers were all OK, don't you think?
Of course people suffer injuries in accidents. Many who don't also use unscrupulous PI lawyers to make fraudulent claims.
Okay OP ignore some of the people on here. There medical qualifications are probably comparable to their legal ones or insurance experience.
I'll give some examples of my recent experience. I crashed my car meaning that my parter had a fractures skull and was in hospital having loads of scans, she was unconcious in a car which was in water upside down*. And my brother who is a commercial surveyor recently had someone come into the back of him at such a speed that the driver is being prosecuted for dangerous driving, and he had to go into hospital on a stuff board with a neck brace on, he has not walked or worked in over two weeks (his shoulder was dislocated, his knee was dislocated). According to PH both of these people should man up and walk it off...
My solicitors refused to deal with her as a third party. They are jokers for other reason, but have gotten rid of their solicitors so things have to be done through a solicitor. I'd recommend Slater and Gordan. They have been helpful and have done their best to get this sorted fairly and are trying to do it quickly.

- Actually there were other injuries, including some nasty scarring. It's quite likely she will not be able to come on holiday with me which is close to two months after the accident. She is back at work in a limited capacity. Because she cannot afford to not work.

Add to that he was driving the bus so presumably it was an accident at work and his employer should be looking after him. Were you hit by a vehicle a fraction of the mass of yours, at very slow speed? Haters? No not really. In a bus hit by a car at about 15mph. Frankly in a normal bus you would barely notice you had been hit yet the op wants to claim compo for personal injury. To the rest of the haters on here, its not always MTFU. Really? On what basis would someone's employer compensate them if they were injured in a motoring accident by a negligent third party, even if they were driving on business? From his previous thread:

Anyways, I got out the drivers CAB to exchange details and check the damage on my bus, NOT TO FIGHT or cause conflict. Anyway he headbutted me, and chipped my tooth and I've got a pretty bad head-ache and neck is aching.
How do I go about making a personal injury claim against this man? Do I go via his insurance using a private accident management company? or?
