Just a thought - if laser jammers open garage doors, how long before the criminal fraternity strip the contents of of my existentialist pied-a-tyre?

same in Belgium. I managed to get mine back and avoid a fine by pleading ignorance and pointing out that they were allowed in Germany/UK. I had to go in person to a police station in the middle of Ghent to pick it up, though. In Germany, due to a legal loophole they are not forbidden (what isn't expressly forbidden, is allowed under german law), but they'll still try to confiscate. They've been "legal" now for around 2 years. Knowing the stupidity and slowness of german bureacracy, it'll probably take another two years to close the loophole Rgds, WalterU

Yeah Geek, but it depends on the detector you are using... its as system called VG2 which listens out for the harmonic frequencies given out by your detector that its local osc uses to tune into the radar signals. However most modern detectors have sheilding that makes them VG2 immune by blocking the harmonics from getting out of the case.. Im not sure if any equipment exists that can detect a 'VG2 immune' detector but if they become illegal then they might try and find some way... Hope this answers your question. Marv.
