Well I'm grateful to the HATOs who escorted me (+ several hundred others) the 'wrong' way off the anti-clockwise M25 between Js 3 & 4 last Sunday afternoon.
The guy was getting a bit stressed out trying to marshal some pretty dumb*** drivers, but his female colleague in the other vehicle.......

One useful thing of this forum is the counter-intelligence aspect. I know a heck of a lot about the camera lot thanks to the postings on here. Given Merde Hughes' stance on enforcing the limit, and reports already coming in of the ACPO guidelines not being adhered to (Kent) and hidden traps (Cumbria 
, Essex), I feel it the best source of this sort of information.
I get frustrated when people complain about being done for 80-odd on the motorway, but then seem unwilling to do anything about the root cause, which is the dreadful speed limit on these roads! I don't get the 'It's the law, but it's OK to break' aspect - especially in these days of the scamera partnerships and cheap road safety.

I work with them all the time.There has however been a fair bit of baiting fom the dark side with at least three (iirc) claiming to be HATOs and then throwing their weight around on here. I believe the door slapped them on the ass on the way out.
Most of the points from this side seem to be whether the service is value for money. I don't consider that baiting, merely a point which has never been answered or justified from the other side.
So imo calling it baiting is a very childish way of attempting to belittle a question which they refuse to answer and just ignore whilst hoping it goes away.
