Admittedly I was carrying to much speed on the approach to the fiesta but I didn't make the audi do what he did and I did stamp on the throttle to stop the audi I was accelerating from the lights consistently.
The audi overtook another 5 car like that
Glass houses, stones, etc. You need to look at your own driving as well. The audi overtook another 5 car like that
Especially "I did stamp on the throttle to stop the audi"
His was shocking.
Yours was very poor.
To be honest, if your saw it from a 3rd party, it might even look like you were racing him?

Watch that video back closely and do your best to see what most people will see.
You pull away at a reasonable rate, not particularly quickly, then after quite a few seconds you're barely gaining ground on the Fiesta if at all. Then suddenly you start catching fast as the Audi is coming through.
You accelerated knowing the Audi was coming. You arrived way too quickly to the back of the Fiesta and braked later than normal people would.
The reason you accelerated hard and braked late was that Audi. You weren't going fast until the Audi made a move.
I highly doubt any experienced driver would say otherwise.
Really bad driving by the Audi, but you played your part.

at no point did a straddle the middle of the road with oncomings forcing them to take evasive action, I didn't keep my foot down when the audi came along side i braked to try and stop him having a head on. i am only guilty of trying to making progress.

Generous, but I concur. OP - take this the right way, but consider some driver coaching (even F1 drivers have it) - just an hour or two out in your car with some coaching from an ex-Police advanced driver.
It certainly helped me as I'd fallen into all sorts of bad habits. The ex-Police guy wasn't against making (quite rapid) progress, but it was time, place and critically based on good observation and awareness of what was happening around me.

Accelerating hard in a built up (ish) area, with nothing to gain. You admitted to trying to close the Audi out - "I did stamp on the throttle to stop the audi"at no point did a straddle the middle of the road with oncomings forcing them to take evasive action, I didn't keep my foot down when the audi came along side i braked to try and stop him having a head on. i am only guilty of trying to making progress.
I'm not defending his driving. I'm saying you might have chosen a moment much earlier to be defensive rather than aggressive.

Should read DIDNT i was accelerating consistently, no stamping,I'm not defending his driving. I'm saying you might have chosen a moment much earlier to be defensive rather than aggressive.
Point taken I wasn't text book but i was trying to kill anyone. I didn't try to stop him soon as he came offside I broke.
I don't normally but had been held up for some time when I had some open road decided to make progress the audi came into the scene like his pants were on fire.

The dash cam implies that you were booting it pretty hard in the second phase and you admit to trying to block the Audi. As I said, I agree that his driving was appalling.I don't normally but had been held up for some time when I had some open road decided to make progress the audi came into the scene like his pants were on fire.
You need to look at yours. We all perceive our driving to be different than it is, that's life. Take a pause, sleep on it and watch it back in a few days.
You will probably think "I could have done that differently".

The video quite clearly shows you easing off then accelerating hard when the Audi goes to overtake.Point taken I wasn't text book but i was trying to kill anyone. I didn't try to stop him soon as he came offside I broke.

the fiesta slowed down as it was turning off thats why there appears to be a sudden gain. You need to look at yours. We all perceive our driving to be different than it is, that's life. Take a pause, sleep on it and watch it back in a few days.

i wouldn't of bothered accelerating like that if i was to do it again but the audi wasn't behind me at the lights, so didn't form part of my plan.

No it shows me suddenly gain on the fiesta as he had slowed ready to turn off.My mio cam would prove this as it has speed were as the transcend doesn't.
When the audi pokes his nose past me i BRAKE

Maybe you didn't set out to kill someone, but you left the Audi in a situation where he could.
If you had driven at your own speed, he would have been an idiot for pushing a pass for nothing.
You joined in and made the incident greater than it was.
If that Audi did end up hitting something and causing an accident, I'd bet you'd get charged too.

No, there WAS A SUDDEN GAIN. he slowed down.i wouldn't of bothered accelerating like that if i was to do it again but the audi wasn't behind me at the lights, so didn't form part of my plan.
OK, so a valuable lesson in why defensive driving can be very important in built up areas?
You seem to be trying to absolve yourself from any errors of judgement.

I will hand the footage to local plod and awaits my fate then rather than being judged on here.Maybe you didn't set out to kill someone, but you left the Audi in a situation where he could.

No speeding up that much was an error in my judgement accepted butI never did it to stop the audi he decided late to go on overtake,OK, so a valuable lesson in why defensive driving can be very important in built up areas?
