The polizia pulled me over a few months back for being ''excessively noisy''.

He could have easily S59 me, I knew it, he knew I knew it. All I got was ''if I had the same car, I'd do the same. Just make sure you do it in the right place a the right time''

Not all police are out there to get an easy ticket.

BTW - I live in Norfolk

probably not, but they arn't loud so you are missing the point. It's about police clamping down on sound nuisance, an older geezer in a TVR isn't likely to be hooning about noising it up and annoying people, they are going to be on a country road enjoying the noise without police about and even if they are stopped, a nice civilised conversation will happen unless that particular policeman is an ahole.

everything is an opinion, policemans, your's the judges.
I'd like to be of the same opinion, but if the legislation states aftermarket mods should be Type Approved then that is what will count. Whether it's a noisy (or not noisy) exhaust or large rims with stretched tyres, it's not TA so will be illegal under this legislation.
I suppose it's only a matter of time before these become car confiscation reasons.

I've had coppers asking me to rev the TVR up, it's decatted and sleeved. The coppers loved it biggrin
