Cumbria Police admit that their report of a 9 year old was caught drink driving was incorrect - he was actually 19.

I thought the story was a bit odd however it also makes you wonder about how factually correct the stories are when put together.

Chances are the FOI request didn't contain any information about the officers being forced to release without charge. The journalist has just made it up. But when officers discovered his age they were forced to release him without charge as he was too young to be held accountable for his actions.

I was just thinking that?, surely at 19 they would have charged so as you say the journalist made that up.Story said:
