The police officers themselves on the show were bemoaning the lack of manpower. They didn't believe in cameras either.

I'm saying we need more trafpol, but even if you have more officers that doesn't mean that cameras can't also be used to supplement them.

What we shouldn't have is decreasing trafpol officer numbers with increasing camera numbers.
They are moaning because they see cameras as replacing them.

Yes more trafpol but why keep cameras? They don't improve safety but they do criminalise safe driving.

Last night there was an ANPR team at Royston, the low loader was quite busy and I've seen em twice setting up at jct 7 on the A1(M)recently
