Are Angry BiBs Really Angry While They Give You A Bollocking
Discussion
Early summer morning last year. Rode the motorbike to work for a change and stopped at a set of lights, knowing that the next set was always on red about a 1/4 mile down the road.
Without checking behind me I gave it the full 1/4 mile drag race to the next set (no cars or junctions between them). A police car pulls up beside me lights going and waved me over.
He got out of the car and gave me one of the best bkings I have ever had, he was ranting and generally going bonkers at me. Without me saying a word he got back in his car slammed the door and went, leaving me rather bemused, so yes he really was quite angry.

The irony of that person using the words, 'limited reasoning', after making a factual error is hopefully not lost on you.

Not sure you should have wound him up though - he could have done you for dangerous cycling.
How about Furious cycling - is that even an offence or something I heard on the telly. But there's a more recent dangerous cycling offence: http://www.cyclelaw.co.uk/cycling-offences-riding-...
There was a copper behind me heading towards the motorway patrol station at J31 that gave me the full blues and sirens, and not just from the police car either.
Seemingly he had scraped enough idiot cyclists off the roads over the years and handed them back to their families in many plastic bags, and he really didn't fancy doing another one. He also informed me that speed limits were for all road users, not just motorised ones.
That said, I know that Lancashire Safety Camera Team will have numerous shots of my backside from a camera near Preston Car Auctions. It took me and mate, side by side, to have enough detectable mass to trip the camera - we never managed it riding singly.
Generally our police do a great job in a fked up environment. In modern Britain they are screwed if they do, screwed if they don't.
I wouldn't want to be a UK Bobby.
I've never been in trouble for anything naughty in my life, other than the odd motoring offence, and on every occasion I've apologised if I've been in the wrong - only on the odd occasion have I come across an officer with a st attitude, usually a young 'un or one having a bad day, but whenever I have needed the police they have been there to help.
Only once did I come across a complete bellend officer, he turn up at 7am at my house with his colleague accusing me of buying a cloned car. He was just plain rude, asking why I lived in such a rough area (it wasn't that bad) and generally treating me as scum. When he was surprised I had the v5 and everything else was genuine, he showed me his paperwork and realised he had misread it. Mine was the real car and they were meant to check it - didn't get an apology, but one idiot in three decades of dealing with the police ain't bad.

BMW535i, any chance you could give it a rest in this thread? I'm not the forum police, but you're giving us BMWists a bad name! Thanks awfully buddy, ole mate, ole chum, me ole mukka, chap, and PH favourite, "fella".
No worries my love, but don't worry - I don't have a BMW. XxGassing Station | Speed, Plod & the Law | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
