Can I quash one canard - the standard of proof for an Inquest finding of unlawful killing is the same as the criminal standard.

Note also that burden of proof and standard of proof are not the same thing. Burden indicates which party has to prove something. Standard indicates the level to which a thing has to be proved.

Thank you. I had not realised that (it wasn't part of the Law Society Finals or the Law Tripos!).



PS wouldn't you shoot down a canard? (It would probably make better eating than a quashed one)
