I didn't say that. I asked you a specific question. Where does the person who is selling a "genuine BMW parts" on ebay get it from that allows him to sell it for much less and still make a profit?
I'm not saying they're all fakes, I just don't know how anyone gets hold of a genuine new BMW bumper other than from BMW who are unlikely to sell it to them for such a discount, unless BMW are in the business of allowing ebay sells to dramatically undercut their franchise network.
I get it with a parts made by a third party where they also sell them under thier own brand, but not a part made by BMW themselves.
TPS is owned and run by VAG

The TPS Network was an industry first when it was launched back in 2007. It was the first trade operation to be totally owned and run by an automotive manufacturer - Volkswagen Group.

Not through a bodyshop but if you phone up and ask "can I buy a rear bumper for my E60 M-Sport please" how much will it be?
Getting hold of bumpers is not hard. Breaking cars, spares or repairs, people who upgrade from one type to the next type up (EG Se to M-sport, M-sport to M5), likewise sometimes warehouses shut down, stock gets sold on for debt repayments.
I guess this is difference between me and you where I've had to use lots of online parts and never had a problem if you buy with your eyes open.
I've done plenty of Getting hold of parts normally used bits through a breakers. I've bought stuff of ebay, some of which has been ok some of which hasn't.
However this is if I break my car and want to save a few £ fixing it. What I wouldn't do is try to fix my car on the cheap if someone else hit me especially if I had an expensive car.

I have front and rear facing cameras, so it has all been recorded.
I have done a couple of checks over the weekend, askmid and dvla sites, at the time of him rear ending my other half the van had an MOT was insured but had NO Tax and still has no Tax.
I have already had the go ahead to get my car repaired but I want to make sure that I will recover my excess before I do.
I have left them a message and sent another text as before (not abusive as the troll would like to think and imply ) as the phone went straight to answer phone.
I was thinking of a trip to Southampton Police Station to see if they would be interested in the footage of a un-taxed vehicle being used and false address being given following a accident?
Trust me I would be amazed if they cared a jot. I had a guy refuse to give me his insurance details and tell me to "Go **** Yourself". Called Police and they said that as long as I havent been assaulted, they wouldnt be doing anything. The only thing they would do was arrest me If I stopped the other guy leaving.I have done a couple of checks over the weekend, askmid and dvla sites, at the time of him rear ending my other half the van had an MOT was insured but had NO Tax and still has no Tax.

Given all you need is the registration why does it matter if he refused to give details? From then on, Ive promised the next time any police officer asks for help, will politely decline.
I can understand why if you atempted to detain him you would get into trouble.
The last bit, well it's a matter of perspective isn't it. If anyone asked me for help and I could I would and I wouldn't base my response to someone on how soneone completely different had responded to me in the past.

Almost £900 as I said earlier. Literally just phoned BMW 2 minutes ago and the exact price is ..Not through a bodyshop but if you phone up and ask "can I buy a rear bumper for my E60 M-Sport please" how much will it be?
£830.27 for bare bumper skin
£161.38 for 1 parking sensor
£72.50 for foam impact stuff
and I didn't get price on rear defusser as mine was unscathed.

Oh. Well in that case it must be fake on Ebay.
At no point have I said its fake, I did say though when I looked that seller certainly wasn't selling them and there were NO new genuine ones on Ebay. The only other logical place too look for a NEW genuine bumper would be, well BMW of course (who wanted £830) Either way, why on earth should I or the OP or anyone else damaged by a 3rd party have to spend time sourcing second hand or cheaper parts off ebay and then have the hassle of getting them painted and finding someone to fit them when that's what we pay insurance for ? If I scuffed my own bumper on a pillar or something then yes, 100% that is the route I would go and find a cheaper bumper getting it painted and sorted at a reasonable cost to myself.
In the OP's and our circumstance the only way to do it properly is send the car to an approved repairer and have it repaired to a good standard at the insurance companies expense using new genuine parts and not some second hand tosh from the local auto jumble.

I'm just confused how you're somehow able to guarantee that it's a genuine, brand-new item... (and that such parts are readily available)
I've explained myself plenty of times. I cannot be bothered repeating myself.C70R said:
