So, what kind of **** stole my bike?

My beloved motorbike was definitely stolen last night by

But what kind of
s did it?
Not kids, surely? It's not exactly 'joyrider' material...
Organised crime? Not worth much as parts, and only £1500 or so whole...
To order? Why not just buy one? They're cheap enough...
So, I'm intrigued (and f
king angry). What kind of person did steal my bike? Will I ever see it again? Police responses especially welcome!

Police responses especially welcome!I once sold some motorbike parts on eBay, it was a Polish fellow who turned up, he had a van FULL of bike parts, he said every month he comes to the UK and buys loads of parts and takes them back to Poland to his bike shope where the second hand spares is very buoyant.
Not saying he was Polish as this feller was a nice guy, paid cash, polite, no messing etc. but don't under estimate its value in parts abroad.
Good luck with getting it sorted out

It will be on it's way to Eastern Europe. Apparently lots of damaged bikes and cars are being bought and taken over there for repair and resale, talking with aguy who used to buy write offs he says that he knows of one guy who comes twice a week with a transporter for write offs to go to Poland.
And the winner is...
Mr Annie VXR!
Much respect to Avon and Somerset Police, who did a fantastic job keeping me posted and found my bike here:
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&safe=off&a...
in the bushy bit next to the A4174. Hartcliffe - who'd have guessed, eh?
Bike is not so pretty:

but I hope a couple of hundred £ and some tlc will put things right again.
Again, thanks to the police for a job well done.

Thanks folks. SOCO came round yesterday morning and plastered it with fingerprint dust: reckoned there might be a couple of good 'uns, but we'll see... I've actually been really impressed by how much the police have done. From the kicking they get on here, you'd think you had to ride into a police station on Shergar carrying the body of Madeleine McCann before they took any notice.
Details of damage done here:

Currently waiting on a replacement rocker cover and giving the battery a bit of charge before I can tell how fubar'd it is. It all depends how long they ragged it with no oil in...
