13" tyres please
Discussion
Can't find the kumho's you mentioned in 13"
For sure Kumho make plenty in the size i want but they all look like the cardboard based tyres made in China etc. designed to last a lifetime on ~1.5-2tonne tintops - these would be lethal in wet on my 0.5 tonne lotus7
see this site :-http://www.blackcircles.com/tyres/brands/kumho/ecsta-v70a#anchorAllSizes
Any other suggestions I need quality tyres designed for trackday use really?
Standard 1970's 165x13" are the normal size fitted on my car and 1970's cars were a lot lighter than todays overweight tintops so I'm struggling to find something similar to 1970's quality tyres - any quality/grippy tyes in this size would also be OK
What do 1960/70's sporting Ford escort owners use any ideas?

Be aware that these V70s are now only for trackday use - all the grippy trackday faves tyres that used to be 'G rated for energy efficiency - Kumho V70s, Yoko A048s etc - can no longer be E-marked for road use as of October last year (eu tyre efficiency regs - hence the 'exempt class' listing on Camskill's website as linked.)
If you only will use for them for trackdays and not on-road, no problem. Call Camskill for a chat to check first if in any doubt - I've found them very helpful
I think Toyo R888s have been revised to get e-marked, and as for A048s - they now come indelibly marked in red on the sidewall 'not for road use'. In time for the Oct 2015 deadline, I heard Yokohama shipped-in over 2years product allocation to the UK - and sold the lot in 6weeks as enthusiasts bagged sets for future use!
I've moved my Fisher Fury onto the Nankang NS2Rs in soft compound (185/60/R13s) partly for a giggle - and they are surprisingly good.

Learnt today that Michelin are making 13" tyres especially for the MSN Circuit Rally Championship.
