Meanwhile "too fast for the conditions" (but not, presumably, exceeding the limit !) is up at second. Doubtless the Scumera pratnership will try to add the two together.

So that's 12%, then. Way below 33%

But of course they would be wrong to add these together.

Has Paul (Safespeed) been notified of this report.
I'm sure he would have a field day with it.

It would be "interesting" if any camera representatives would care to comment...but as usual in situations like this, it wouldn't be wise to be holding my breath...

Unfortunately speeding is top of the profitability league so they are unlikely to pay any attention, after all, why let road safety get in the way of making money and employing the unemployable?

Today on my 250 mile drive I have witnessed

6 trucks pull out on dual carriageways with little or no indication causing cars to brake excessively.

Countless drivers following too close & countless near mishaps

One car in a hedge on a bend

One car on a lampost on a roundabout

I did'nt notice many drivers going too fast for the conditions, though planty would be over the "limit"

Any dumbassed idiot could have gained knowledge today that speeding is not a problem, poor & appalling driving standards are the problem.

Can we please get someone from the Newspapers & TV on the case & make these feckwit scamership supportors see what were on about.

Infact that doesnt even account for the fact that going over the speed limit isnt a CAUSE of an accident, or that it could have been something entirely different but they were above the limit.
i.e going too fast for the conditions but they also happened to be above the limit so its classified as so blahdiblah.
Eitherway

What you might not realise is that, thanks to unrealistically low limits, everyone speeds, nearly all the time they are moving, so if you have an accident, it's likely you are moving ergo you were speeding, stats don't even need massaging

Not everyone speeds. Nay! Some even don't have enough confidence to tavel at the speed limit.

Why today while a travellin on the M6 at 70 mph ish, I was approached by 2 revvin turkeys at what must have been 90 mph.
Upon espying the rear of a Police Patrol Car travelling at 65 mph, they jammed on and slowed to 65 mph.
I shot past both turkeys at 70 mph ish and the Police car.

Now why did the nuggets not do something similar? Why are drivers not travelling at speeds up and at the speed limit when safe to do so in the presence of either a Police Officer or Speed Enforcement Device? Even the Police can't do you for speeding under the limit!

This was totally illogical and stupid behaviour and certainly not deserving of a driving licence.

Of course 5 minutes later said turkeys were away at 90 mph again. One a lady driving with one hand while cleaning her teeth the other a bloke on the phone. Now where was that Police Patrol when you needed it?

have been telling you this for some time .... under your chump guise and JJ guise and under your own name

Perhaps my lovely wife is right - it's Pavlov Dog syndrome....

Ish

"ISH" is not good enough... what if you got a NIP for 75 mph

You speeder you! Think of my children!

You must have been at least 80 mph to pass and return to lane - giving space and time....to slower 65 mph drivers.

Because you have conditioned them to drive below speed limit on sight of Plod or scam....

I see this all the time - and my wife (Wildy) and my son (new driver -Pass Plus and in training for IAM by getting his experience up to speed)

Yes - I actually agree with you on this. But who has caused this standard of driving?

Police are short on ground - even in Cumbria despite your claims to contrary. I've lived here for past 20 odd years and I see less police than I did when we first bought our home and settled here as newly-weds.

Your scams are helping? Know what I see and my vision is 20/20 and definitely not
tunnelled....

Am doctor and do know a thing or two about eyes as well as lurgies..

But surely - in your position... you could have contacted Ian and told him about this.

You know both self and Wildy are pretty hard line over use of mobiles and so on...

As for the woman cleaning her teeth... urrgh! Where did she spit out the Colgate:

You should inform public - there is a chewy they can buy which cleans teeth on the move...

Oops sorry - forgot - your actual safety budget does not cover safety measures - only fleecing measure..

Glad to see your last two points destroyer, so there IS something more dangerous than speeding eh? You said it! But we have been saying it all along, glad you now agree!

I've had some experience of driving in the U.S. when they had the 55 mph national limit (first imposed to conserve fuel during the 1974 fuel crisis).

It resulted in a nation of what we call: "numpty" drivers who never developed the necessary skills of car control and awareness that every driver should posess. If you don't believe ME, go and ask the Americans themselves, They will tell you: "Americans can't drive" (at least not then).

It resulted in a nation of drivers whose nervousness increased dramatically as they approached the dreaded 55 mph, BECAUSE they had NEVER driven faster! I fear YOU (and your ilk) are now doing the same in the U.K. and accidents WILL over time, increase. You WILL therefore be discredited.

70 mph is only another 15 mph, and we are developing the same "traits" of more numpty behaviour. I personally would rather rely on the judgement and driving skills of your so-called: 90 mph Turkeys than some nervous 60 mph numpty. They have more spacial awareness, better responses and are far more predictable in their actions. has long as they do NOT tailgate, there isn't a problem. 8Pack

I heard there were these machines which generate revenue, intended to replace Police Patrols.

I believe they're called "safety" cameras.

Destroyer old bean, having a bit of difficulty squaring the circle.

You travelling at 70-ish.
Two turkeys brake to 65.
You then "shot past at 70-ish"

I don't call a 5mph differential shooting past.

Care to rephrase things or be a bit more specific?

To me 70-ish is 68-70, to you ?
