I use Tomtom, CheckPOInt and the Pocket GPS World speed camera database.

Does anyone know where I can download a database for French speed cameras?

Appreciate the law is stricter in France on use of such devises but would still be interested to know if such a database exists?

Hmmm, be careful in France. I don't think the BiBs there like camera detectors very much, I've heard reports of them stomping on them with their jack boots or asking if they can have a look and then put it under a wheel and making you drive off!!

I know TomTom is SatNav but you never know, if you get a grumpy one anything can happen!!

Anyway, POI's in France, I didn't think there were any.............

You have to register first and once thats done just pick the country you want and help yourself to oodles of POI's

Welcome to POIplace, the website where all travellers can maintain information about points of interest (POI's) they come along!
In POIplace you can add your own POI's and download POI's entered by other users.

If you make use of CheckPOInt 3.x, you can automatically upload POI's you've recorded and automatically download POI overlays for CheckPOInt and TomTom Navigator.

Radar detectors are forbidden, GPS based systems are OK and on sale also in France (Without laser alert).

PS: Yes you are right Hamster, no POI of interest in France at all, hope you will enjoy your holiday in Blackpool this year.....
