There is often a mobile Scamera parked on the pavement(is that legal?) at the roundabout that goes over the A229 Bluebell hill at the Junction of the M20. It is usually targeting those going from a 50 limit to a national speed limit on the A229 itself(probably around 500m between two linits). There is a slip road for traffic joining the road at this point. This causes a couple of things, those who know the camera is there are more aware of there speed rather than trying to let the traffic merge from the slip road. And those joining from the slip road slow down causing the traffic to bunch. Both cause dodgy moments. Also as the Scamera van is parked on a flyover your eyes are taken from of the road as you look up to see if it's there causing yet more danger. I can see no other reason for the Scamera's parking than to increase revenue.

Congratulations, that's absolutely right!!!

I know the road, and I understand the limit-change...but why not put static cameras up just after the junction, before the slip-road by the pub...people would slow for the camera, spot the junction and the houses, and stay slow.

Except that wouldn't get as much revenue, now would it?!?
