Methinks you are right.
I think I remember reading when this bunch established in 2003 - Manchester Press commenting on the poll they did in which they claimed 75% in favour of cameras.
The Manchester paper found out that those polled were stratified - but the source were regulars in police polls anyway. I think we kept the cutting at the time as it seemed to indicate the bias.
Manchester Press did its own in the paper und even though the comment played to the camera - they were rather taken aback by 65% AGAINST .. 30% FOR und the rest dunnos. It did not quite tally with the pratster claim somehow.
Manchester press poll was mix of on-line und telephone as their norm for these daily quickies.
