The signs appeared a few weeks ago and tonight whilst driving home I spotted a scamera van hiding outside D&D tool hire shop in Blackwater.

The van is tucked away so you cant spot it till you are almost upon it. Funnily enough they have stuck it just next to where the speed limit increase from 30 to 40 mph. It is yet another place where a 30mph limit is totally innapropriate, very few accidents but a nice tidy money earner.

I have taken a few photos whilst I was there. Check them out by clicking here You can click on the images for a larger version.

Whats with the screwed up layout there too?
Is it legal for the cops to use private land to nick motorists, when they havent got permission from the owners to be on it?

The screwed up layout is a barmy scheme to install chicanes for cyclists! I kid you not!

If you cycle down this part of the A30 you have to weave in and out of the chicanes. Perhaps the cyclists were going too fast as well down the road?!

I know the owners actually! Not sure they would be up for upsetting the police mind you! I like the idea though cos its not public property they are on

Well my suggestion is the next time you see it parked there you drive in behind it, so that it can't get out! If you know the owners they won't complain, and they can deny responsibilty of who it is!

What a fing ct!

Its a real shame I wasnt round there. I would have found a sudden need to buy some tools for the next 48 hours. Shame my parking is shite and i sometimes block people in.....

Damn, I just drove past there this evening about an hour or so ago.
Either I was totally unobservant or the van had gone by then. I really hope it was the latter.

I come home past there every night at the moment so I'll have to keep my eyes open for it in future.
