Any BIB care to comment? especially Kent BIB

My wife's uncle has a TV shop in kent, he sells and repairs them, and its quite successful.
On Sat night 3 scroates broke in, his shop is in the middle of a residential street, so when the alarms went off the neighbours called the BIB and him.
He arrived before the BIB!
Anyway that aside, he has shutter, which they tried to rip off, they managed to open them enough to get through, where one of them managed to cut himself, rather badly, blood everywhere.
His shop has rather good CCTV (not micromarkt rubbish) and got all 3 scrotes on camera, the cars they used on camera and 2 of them saying how they are going to have to get xxxx to hospital asap (yes the cut was that bad) crystal clear.
Anyway the bib have said there is not enough evidence, and they are not taking it any further!!!!!!!!!!!
So they have the car reg's, face pictures, blood (dna) and there names, yet this isn't enough evidence??????

So just WTF is going on with kent police??

We are assuming its pikeys who it seems are now completely untouchable even with such overwhelming evidence. A quick visit to the local A&E dept would have cleared this case up.

I fear this will get him nowhere, I had similar service from kent police when my shop was turned over, the chief inspector (mike fuller?) called me, applogised then ranted at me for about 30 minutes about how underfunded etc they are.dvd
Is this one of those occasions where legal action against the Police should be considered to force them into action. I have no idea how you would go about doing it or under which rules / law etc.
Perhaps if enough people took such action then it might make TPTB see sense and do something about what appears to be a chronic underfunding of the Police...

Go & drive up & down the A20 at 150mph all day long with a big banner on the back with the Chief Constables name all over over the back, let the papers, local TV, radio etc know all about it. Inform the chief constable you'll be doing this unless they investigate.

Absolutely no excuse for something like that not to be followed up. Certainly no excuse then to justify it and STILL do nothing!
It should be easy to find out - just find a load of coppers with squirrel sized testicles and you'll be in the right area.
Pathetic - if the police can't be bothered to investigate crimes anymore, then we should get a reduction in council tax and hire in private security firms to do a proper job.

Perhaps they wouldnt be so underfunded if now they have great evidence to put what is obviously an organised gang away rather than chase them around another 5 or 10 times when they keep doing it to other taxpaying businesses!

I won't apologise for linking this to my post. And I'm not a Troll, sadly I think my feelings reflect a growing number of MoP's. The job I knew is no longer and that is in the four years since I retired. Heaven help us in 10 years time.

To the OP- Did a scenes of crime examiner come out? Perhaps the DNA did not match, but the rest seems inexcusable. Definitely speak to an Inspector about it to find out exactly what the score is.
