...well it was there at about 9:45 when I drove past.

Not exactly playing fair are they? Not going to prevent many accidents on a Sunday morning on a stretch of motorway between junctions.

If that's the M25 junction, I drove past there yesterday and my Road Angel did warn me of an accident blackspot, so I guess they're 'allowed' to place one there.

Thing is, I didn't think Talivans were placed on Motorways, looks like we all could be adding a few points to our licenses soon if that's the case.

They often sit on the flyovers over the M3 between Basingstoke and Winchester.

The last couple of miles of the A34 as you get to the A34/M3 Jctn is also a great favourite of the police speedtrap and they get a nice "production line" set up at times ... I've even seen them doing that at 9:30 on a Sunday morning!

I have recently posted on a different thread that it is only time before most drivers have points. It is the highest milaeage drivers that will get points first, lose their jobs etc and therefore there will be a big backlash.

When you think about it though the scamera vans etc should be on residential roads as thats were the highest accident risk is. However they won't be there because locals will be done, which is politically unacceptable.

My understanding was that for mile travelled motorways were the safest roads, however they are also good pickings for Talivans as you can be got before you have seen the van and you are likely to live outside the area.

Mind you there should be warning signs for the cameras shouldn't there?

The M4 in South Wales has a bad outbreak of Talivans sat on bridges, the climb out of Cardiff West junction at Tonypandy often has a van lurking on the bridge before the services
