The Liverpool Daily Post is running what looks like a support your local Sheriff campaign with their David Banks trotting out the familiar Speed Kills party line.

MP Martyn Jones is critical of Brunstrom who has upset a lot of readers with his press conference to smear the pensioner who dared to challenge the N Wales police over his conviction for doing 39mile/h in a 30 while allegedly overtaking a tractor

I had to buy another of these rags to find out.
73% voted to say Brunstrom was not doing a good job. And today's issue was full of sychphantic arguments in support of him and his policies.

Personally I can see some merit in his campaign to legalise drugs but his major problem as voiced by Allison Halford herself a controversial figure is that he is absolutely obsessed by image and publicity. Hence the bizarre onslaught on Shaw, the 39 mile/h pensioner.

15 years ago no-one knew who the chief constable was - now in N Wales he views with Blair for the popular top spot for all the same wrong reasons.

At least we can vote Blair out.
